What to expect during your hearing test
We offer 3 hearing test types at our audiology clinic in Truro Cornwall, these include a screening, basic test and full diagnostics, find out exactly what to expect during each test below:
Free Screening
A free hearing screen can be a great first step in checking your hearing health. This complimentary service takes 15 minutes and includes a 5-point scan test, resulting in a pass or fail. If you pass, that's great news! You will then have the option to book in for another free screening in 12 months. With a failed test, you will receive expert advice on why the test failed and how to resolve any issues found; usually, a further basic test or full diagnostics may be recommended. |
Basic hearing test
Take a deeper look at your overall hearing health with a paid test. These assessments incorporate cutting-edge technology such as video otoscopy and pure-tone audiograms, providing a detailed assessment of your auditory systems. Tests are completed by fully trained and dedicated audiologists. With our basic hearing tests, we can identify and treat a wide range of hearing impairments and conditions. Book a 30-minute hearing test with expert audiologists in Cornwall today for just £35. |
Full diagnostics
For just £95, you'll receive a 90 minute comprehensive hearing assessment. This includes video otoscopy, tympanometry, pure tone audiogram, speech audiometry, and word lists to assess your consonant and vowel recognition. We also conduct a speech-in-noise test to gauge your brain's processing of complex signals. Following the tests, we'll explain the results and offer live demonstrations of both hearing aid technology and assistive listening devices. You'll receive a copy of your hearing report, and together, we'll discuss recommended solutions if any further treatment is needed. Plus, if you decide to purchase hearing aids on the day, the full diagnostic is complimentary. |
