Hearing aids must be compatible with our fitting software, not be locked and purchased from a reputable UK company in order for us to be able to programme and fine tune them Your hearing aids must be at least a year old but less than 5 years old. This is to ensure you have received at least 1 year of ongoing care from another audiologist In order to begin the process, book a Performance Review so that we can evaluate the performance of your aids, complete a thorough diagnostic and optimise your hearing aid performance to give you the best possible sound (that your aids are capable of providing) for your prescription We offer a Performance Review of your existing technology for £349. This includes a 90 minute initial consultation and a 30 minute follow up We would love to continue providing care beyond your Performance review. At this point you would sign up for one of our Beyond After Care services. For as little as £16 per month, you will have peace of mind, that our dedicated team at K&M is at hand to provide ongoing support on your existing technology |

We reserve the right to decline responsibility for the ongoing care, programming, or maintenance of any hearing aids that do not meet these requirements.
A valid proof of purchase, showing the supplier's details, may be requested to verify ownership and authenticity of the hearing aids.
** 30-Day Refund Policy with the £2000, 3 year ongoing care option:
Any refund requested within 30 days of purchase will be subject to deduction of any professional fees incurred for services provided up to the date of cancellation.

A performance review is an initial consultation for those wishing to change their provider. Using your current hearing prescription and Real Ear Measurements, we can verify the fit of your current hearing aid technology.

Hearing aids have great features to help you hear in complex situations, however many hearing aid wearers continue to find noisy situations a challenge. Did you know that our brain filters and processes complex sound? We begin to loose the ability to process sound in complex situations such as restaurants, when we have a hearing loss. The brain has to work harder to fill the gaps , placing a strain on our system. Lace AI Pro is an auditory training package which re-trains the brain to filter and process complex signals. As such, Lace AI Pro improves our ability to hear in noisy environments and compliments your hearing aids. Recommended for every hearing aid wearer, if you are still struggling in noisy situations, Lace AI Pro may be the right solutions for you.
I have NHS hearing aids, can I book a Performance Review?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer this service for NHS hearing aid wearers. The NHS fitting software is a different software than that which is used in the private sector. Essentially, this means we will be unable to connect your aids to our software, as they have been locked by your NHS provider.
Does the NHS perform Real Ear Measurements?
The good news is yes they do. When fitting your NHS aids, the audiologist should carry out Real Ear Measurements (REMs) to verify your fitting. If is has been a considerable time since you were last seen by the NHS, booking in for a hearing test with them would be recommended. From there they can they fine tune your aids using REMs.
What are Real Ear Measurements?
Real ear measurements (REMs) are a painless procedure that measures how well a hearing aid works in a patient's ear. They allow us to assess how the hearing aids are performing inside the ear canal. Using speech signal, we are able to measure how effectively the hearing aids are accessing the speech signal in relation to the hearing loss
How it works:
The audiologist checks the ear for wax
A soft silicone tube is inserted into the ear canal
A sound stimulus is played into the ear through a speaker
The sound level at the eardrum is recorded
The hearing aid is inserted and the sound level is recorded again
The measurements are compared to targets based on the hearing loss prescription
The hearing aid is programmed to match the targets in order to meet the prescription

CAN I CHOOSE WHICH TYPE OF AID I HAVE?
Firstly, we need to understand what type of hearing aid is best suited to you, then we can look at the pricing and style options you have for that type of hearing aid.
ARE HEARING AIDS UNCOMFORTABLE TO WEAR?
Modern hearing aids are designed for quality of life, they are smaller, lighter and more discreet, many are even invisible and wouldn’t be noticed at all. Custom-fitted hearing aids offer the most comfort and practicality.
WILL I HAVE ONE OR TWO HEARING AIDS?
In most cases, if you suffer from hearing loss in both ears it is recommended to wear one hearing aid in each ear to balance the sound entering the ears from different directions and volumes.
CAN WEARING HEARING AIDS MAKE MY NATURAL HEARING WORSE?
