What happens in a home hearing test?
Our home visit hearing test uses portable equipment. We do not use a sound-treated booth like a hearing test in our branch would. It's important to find a comfortable, quiet location in your home for the test to minimise the impact of external noise. To address this and keep tests accurate, we provide specialist headphones that help reduce outside noise. Rest assured, our kit meets the high standards for diagnostic testing. The home visit test incorporates cutting-edge technology such as video otoscopy and pure-tone audiometry, providing a detailed assessment of your auditory systems, all from the comfort of your own home. If appropriate, a live hearing aid demonstration will be provided as part of your consultation, as well as a discussion on the hearing aid packages available

Ear Wax removal from your home
We are able to safely perform ear wax removal from the comfort of your home. We have a portable state of the art microsuction kit and water irrigation kit. Video otoscopy is completed pre and post procedure. We then complete a hearing health care check, to evaluate if there is any other pathology or need for onward referral to your GP or ENT. Occasionally, a hearing loss may be found, or middle ear congestion for example, and further investigation may be recommended.
