Making Better Hearing More Affordable

K&M Hearing Solutions makes hearing aid financing simple for patients across Truro. Our independent, family-run team guides you through every option with honesty and care, so you always feel supported in your decision. Discover a more comfortable way to move forward with your hearing.

Who Should Consider a Payment Plan?

A payment plan is not the right choice for everyone, and our team is always happy to talk through whether spreading payments or paying in full works best for you. Many patients simply prefer to spread the cost rather than pay a large amount at once, and that preference alone is sufficient reason to apply. It tends to suit people who fit one or more of the following:
  • You want the latest hearing aids, but you would rather spread the payments than pay a large amount upfront.
  • You are replacing older hearing aids and want to upgrade to more advanced technology without a high upfront cost.
  • You are comfortable with a regular direct debit and prefer predictable monthly payments.
  • You are a UK resident aged 18 or over, and you meet the standard status and affordability checks.

Our Finance Options

We offer 0% interest-free finance over 12 months on selected hearing aid packages, letting you spread the cost into equal monthly payments with no additional interest added to the price you have been quoted. If a longer repayment term would better suit your budget, ask your audiologist about other options for your chosen package. They will talk you through the full cost breakdown before you decide, so there are no surprises later on.

How You Pay For Your Hearing Aids

Choosing to spread the cost means the total price is divided into several months rather than paid as a single sum. Most patients find this makes it easier to choose the technology level that genuinely fits their hearing loss, rather than the cheapest option available on the day.

The setup process is simple. Once you have chosen your hearing aids and completed a short application, monthly payments begin and are collected automatically by direct debit, so there is nothing for you to manage between payments.

The Application Process

1. Book a Hearing Test
We start with a hearing check so your audiologist understands your hearing needs before we discuss any package.
2. Choose Your Hearing Aids
Your audiologist recommends the best solution for your hearing loss, lifestyle and budget, then confirms the full price.
3. Apply for Your Plan
If a payment plan suits you, our team can help you with a short application. Approval is subject to your status and an affordability check, and the amount of credit offered will depend on the outcomes of these checks.
4. Review Your Agreement
You receive the full terms of your agreement, including any representative APR, before you agree to anything.
5. Set Up Your Direct Debit
Once approved, your agreement takes effect, and your hearing aids are fitted and set up as usual.

Book a Hearing Test

Before discussing hearing aids or a payment plan, it helps to know exactly where you stand. Book a hearing test with one of our accredited audiologists in Truro, and we will talk through your results, your options and any questions about spreading payments at your own pace.

Is a Credit Check Required?

Applying normally involves a credit check to confirm affordability, along with standard checks used across regulated consumer credit; all applications are subject to credit checks. This has no bearing on any other service you book with us, and a declined application never affects your care or your ongoing visits.

If you would rather avoid a credit check, paying in full remains an option under our financing aid package. Our team can walk you through both options, including all the details of each, to help you decide which might suit you best.

Other Ways to Fund New Hearing Aids

Payment plans are not the only option if you are weighing up how to afford new hearing aids. Here are a few other routes worth checking before your visit:
  • Private health insurance may offer cashback or coverage assistance for hearing aid purchases, so it is worth checking your policy wording.
  • Charitable or local assistance may help cover the cost of hearing aids for patients facing financial hardship.
  • Blue Light Card holders, including NHS staff, emergency services and social care workers, receive 10% off hearing aids with us.
  • NHS pathways remain available if a private hearing aid and payment plans are not right for you at this time.

Why Choose K&M Hearing Solutions for Better Hearing

K&M Hearing Solutions is an independent, family-run hearing care practice on Kenwyn Street in Truro, accredited through BSHAA, the British Academy of Audiology and AIHHP. Because we are independent, our recommendations for hearing aids and payment options are based on what suits you, not on a manufacturer's sales targets. Every hearing aid package also includes full aftercare, so support doesn't stop once your agreement is set up.

Every hearing specialist on our team also supports the private ENT clinic at Duchy Hospital and provides detailed GP referral letters where NHS pathways are more appropriate. To see how a hearing assessment and hearing aid fitting work together, visit our hearing tests and hearing aids pages, and take care of your hearing health with the right support available to you.

Talk to Our Team About Your Options

Every patient's circumstances are different, so we discuss suitable hearing aids and financing options together at your visit, never over email alone. Call us on 01872 857512 or get in touch, and a member of our Truro hearing care team will answer your questions.

FAQ'S

What is hearing aid finance, and how does it work?
Hearing aid financing lets you spread the cost into monthly payments instead of paying the full amount at once. You apply once your audiologist has recommended a suitable package, and payments are then collected by direct debit for the agreed term.
Am I eligible for interest-free credit on hearing aids?
Interest-free credit is available for up to 12 months on selected hearing aid packages, subject to status and a standard affordability check. Your audiologist will confirm which packages qualify and the amount of credit available at your visit.
Is a credit check required to apply?
Yes, a check forms part of the standard process for any regulated agreement. If you would rather avoid this, paying in full remains an option for every package.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If you think you will miss a payment, contact your finance provider or us straight away. Missed payments can affect your credit status, so it is always best to get in touch as early as possible to discuss your options.
Can I pay off my plan early?
Most agreements allow you to settle early, which can reduce the total interest you pay on an interest-bearing plan. Your audiologist will confirm the exact terms for your agreement before you sign.
Do you offer a payment plan on all hearing aid packages?
A payment plan is available for selected hearing aid packages, not for every option we offer. Your audiologist will confirm which packages include interest-free credit or an extended payment plan when you discuss your results.

Financial Conduct Authority and Financial Services Register

K&M Hearing Solutions is not a lender. We do not offer unregulated products, and any credit available through us is arranged with a partner that is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You can check the Financial Services Register for details of any consumer credit provider before agreeing. All credit is subject to status, and we always confirm the full terms, including any representative APR, before you agree to anything.

This information is a general guide to our payment options and does not constitute financial advice. Details are correct at the time of writing and may change, so please confirm current terms with our team before your visit.
