Through our newsletters, emails and phone calls we will keep in touch to ensure your needs are met
and address any issues as they arise. We will invite you in for a review every 6 months
We are also on demand to you, so if you need an appointment, please get in touch and
we will arrangement an appointment, at no cost to yourself

Aftercare
Your Hearing Aid package includes ongoing aftercare
Your aftercare will be for 5, 4, 3 or 2 years depending on the package you opt to go ahead on
Aftercare consists of your ongoing care and support with your audiologist. During these consultations
we will have a discussion with you regarding how you are getting on with your hearing aids and
address any needs or concerns you may have
We will arrange aftercare appointments every 6 months from the day of your fitting
Your aftercare is not limited to these 6 monthly check ups however
If you need to see an audiologist, you can book in as often as you need to for fine tuning, hearing testing
and hearing aid check ups, which is all included on your care package
*Please note wax removal may be chargeable depending on which care package you opt for

What happens during an Aftercare Appointment?
During your Aftercare appointment we may:
- Fine tune the hearing aids for an improved sound experience
- Add additional programmes, after our initial discussion
- Clean and service the hearing aids
- Perform otoscopy
- Complete a hearing test - you can expect annual hearing tests to ensure your hearing aids are on prescription
- Carry out aided speech testing to evaluate your hearing aids performance
- Carry out Real-Ear Measurements as part of a Performance Review
- Discuss the option of assistive listening devices if appropriate
- Perform wax removal/book a wax removal appointment, if needed.
- *Wax removal is included on the Premium + and Premium packages only

Once you come to the end of your care package, your audiologist will go through your options with you

Wearers will look to replace their hearing aid technology either because their aids no longer meet their needs,
or something new and innovative has come out on the market which the wearer would benefit from
We offer our Aftercare Beyond to continue to care for you and your hearing aids over the years
There is no pressure to replace your hearing aids with a new set
When, and if, you are ready to look at new technology, as part of your ongoing Beyond subscription,
we can go through your options with you

to with no expectation or pressure to purchase new

Adult social care
Adult social care can provide support and equipment, such as TV adaptors, door bells, smoke
alarms and alerting systems, to assist people with hearing impairment. There are also social workers
who can support deaf and hard of hearing people, should you require any additional support.

CAN I CHOOSE WHICH TYPE OF AID I HAVE?
Firstly, we need to understand what type of hearing aid is best suited to you, then we can look at the pricing and style options you have for that type of hearing aid.
ARE HEARING AIDS UNCOMFORTABLE TO WEAR?
Modern hearing aids are designed for quality of life, they are smaller, lighter and more discreet, many are even invisible and wouldn’t be noticed at all. Custom-fitted hearing aids offer the most comfort and practicality.
WILL I HAVE ONE OR TWO HEARING AIDS?
In most cases, if you suffer from hearing loss in both ears it is recommended to wear one hearing aid in each ear to balance the sound entering the ears from different directions and volumes.
CAN WEARING HEARING AIDS MAKE MY NATURAL HEARING WORSE?
